Open Graph image sizes
Planning sizes for LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Slack, and WhatsApp. One 1200×630 image covers the set. The checker on this page draws an approximate card from the page’s public tags. It does not refresh a network’s cache.
| Network | Image to prepare | Title to rely on |
|---|---|---|
| 1200×627 pixels, about 1.91:1. A 1200×630 image is the practical match. | Put the point in the first 70 characters. LinkedIn crops, and the crop changes. | |
| 1200×630 recommended. 600×315 still qualifies for the large layout. Images under 200×200 often do not show. | The feed shows a short title. Write it so the first words still make sense. | |
| X | The large card is about 2:1, so a 1200×630 image is cropped slightly. Set twitter:card to summary_large_image on the page you are checking. |
Keep the point on the first line. |
| Slack | Slack publishes no pixel size. It reads the Open Graph image, so use the same 1200×630 file. | Title and description both show. There is no published character cap. |
| Use an image at least 300 pixels wide and keep the file under about 600 KB. The preview is a thumbnail. | Write a short title. The image is small. |

How previews and downloads work
Sharing cards are approximations from extracted title, description, and image URL. Card pictures load in your browser from the page's image host. A completed run can download a ZIP of packaged assets. Use Metadata Packer when you need a metadata CSV. Missing fields, blocked pages, or blocked images can limit what is shown.
